소상공인의 창업가적 특성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 분석: 사회적 자본의 매개 효과

This paper reviewed the influence of the entrepreneurial characteristics of 203 small business owners in the Gwangju and Jeonnam area on the management performances focusing on the mediation of social capital. For the data analysis, the study used structural equation modelling by AMOS VER. 21.0. The purpose of the study is to provide the basic information for enhancing the competitiveness of small businesses by analyzing the influence of small business owners’ entrepreneurial characteristics on the management performances, mediated by social capital. The study also aimed to highlight the importance of entrepreneurs’ roles and social capital for the development of small businesses. The study result showed that small business owners’ entrepreneurial characteristics had a significant impact on their management performance through the medium of social capital. It is believed that the independence and sustainability of regional small businesses will be improved by policies and institutional arrangements which encourage small business owners’ entrepreneurial characteristics and enhance social capital based on the result of the study. The limitations of this paper are limited to Gwangju Metropolitan City, Jeonnam Province, and small business owners in specific areas, so the research results are limited to the uniform application of the research results to all regions and businesses.
