Conversations between company and shareholders are emphasized in terms of recent corporate value improvements or sustainable growth. This is because if a company builds a governance structure suitable for a company through constructive dialogue with shareholders, it is likely to positively affect corporate management of the company. In this context, the shareholders' meeting, in which management and shareholders talk directly and decide the main agenda of a company, has important implications. In the case of Korea, it has been making constant efforts to revitalize shareholders' meetings by introducing shareholder proposals, written voting and electronic voting systems. It can be evaluated positively. However, considering the discussions so far, there is a regret that the shareholders' meeting may have focused only on the former, even though it has two characteristics: a decision-making agency and a meeting. In today's world, when information spreads without restrictions on time and space due to the development of information and communication technology, the significance of shareholders' meetings as a meeting should not be overlooked. Meanwhile, the environment surrounding the shareholders' meeting is changing, with the introduction of the stewardship code further emphasizing the conversation between companies and shareholders, and the realization of shareholder-friendly shareholders' meetings in earnest. In this context, the shareholders' meeting needs to be viewed from the perspective of a meeting. Based on this awareness of the problem, this paper reviewed the Virtual shareholders' meeting from a legal and practical perspective in order to promote 'the shareholders' meeting as a meeting'.
