A Study on the Characteristics of Venture Companies in U.S.A

In recent years, global interest in venture companies has been higher than ever. Venture companies are lead- ing technological innovation in the industry, contributing to productivity improvement, and promoting SMEs to advance the industrial structure. Venture companies are driving technological innovation in their respective industries, contributing to productivity improvement, and promoting SMEs to advance the industrial structure. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of U.S. venture firms and find ways to develop and in- novate the Korean venture industry. The United States has long tried to foster ventures by recognizing the socio- economic importance of ventures. In the United States, all areas of support for venture firms are supported on the basis of a social system rather than an artificial policy. The following suggestions can be suggested in this study. First, it is necessary to improve the utilization of in- centives for excellent manpower by venture companies themselves. Second, in terms of technology, it is neces- sary to induce active cooperation between industry-academia-research associations and to provide an informa- tion delivery system so that information related to new technologies can be shared. Third, in terms of financing, related regulations should be revised or relaxed so that venture capital can play a role in the selection of venture companies, funding, and management guidance. Fourth, in terms of selecting a location for venture companies, the entrepreneurship center should seek ways to resolve overcrowding in the metropolitan area and develop a local economy through induction of local establishment. Fifth, in order to improve the utilization of venture busi- ness support policies, the government needs to systematically organize various financial supports, and it is also necessary to fully promote these support policies.
