네트워크분석을 활용한 다학제 분야의 융합연구 동향 분석

초록
본 연구의 목적은 급속도로 변화하고 있는 과학기술 환경에 대응하기 위한 융합연구의 동향을 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 19962015년간 SCOPUS 데이터베이스에 구축된 다학제(multidisciplinary) 분야의 논문 정보를 수집하고, 그 가운데 상위 1%의 고피인용 논문(HCP) 2,214편의 서지정보를 추출하여 연구 현황 및 키워드 네트워크분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 융합연구는 2000년대 초반부터 급격하게 증가하고 있으며, 개인기관국가 간의 융합이 더욱 강력하게 이루어지고 있음을 확인하였다. 대학을 중심으로 진행되던 융합연구의 형태가 Max Planck나 RIKEN와 같은 전문연구기관 중심의 연구로 나타나고 있으며, Broad Institute와 같이 융합연구를 목적으로 하는 별도의 기관을 구축하는 형태로 전략적 변화가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 중장기적 다학제 분야의 연구성과 분석을 통해 중장기적 연구동향의 변화를 파악함으로써 경쟁력 높은 연구주제의 확보 방법을 제시한 점에 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the trend of convergence research to respond the rapid changes in the scientific and technological environment. For the purpose, we searched multidisciplinary fields during 1996-2015 using the SCOPUS database and extracted 2,214 papers from the top 1% of high citations(HCP) bibliographic information to analyze the research status and keyword network analysis. As a result, convergence research has been increasing rapidly since the early 2000s, and the convergence between individuals, institutions, and countries is stronger over time. And convergence research was shifted from major university to the specialized research institutes such as Max Planck and RIKEN. In addition, It was also analyzed that there was a strategic change in the form of a separate organization for convergence research, such as Broad institute of MIT and Harvard.
