워드클라우드를 이용한 젠트리피케이션 관점 차이 연구 : 관광학과 비관광학의 연구 비교를 통해

Gentrification is a phenomenon in which new capital and commercial facilities are built in aging cities, which leads to higher housing prices and rents, causing residents to leave their homes. Gentrification has been recognized as a social problem in that it causes involuntary migration of residents, and research on it is also being conducted. The negative phenomena caused by gentrification vary widely, so they are dealt with in depth in various academic fields. Studies on gentrification are also on the rise in tourism. Popular tourist destinations become gentrified as the number of tourists increases. This leads to higher rents and involuntary migration. Thus, to understand gentrification, efforts will be needed to see and understand from a multifaceted perspective. Therefore, this study looked at the perspective of gentrification research in tourism and non-tourism by utilizing big data techniques. Based on the database of 'Web of Science', keywords from the abstracts of 3,061 theses were derived through word-cloud techniques. The results of this paper interpreted in the non-tourism paper, regardthe gentrification phenomenon as an inevitable phenomenon caused by national ideology and policy, and that the gentrification phenomenon is understood from a philosophical and macro perspective. Tourism policy makers and stakeholders can understand this phenomenon and use it as a basis for slowing down this phenomenon, rather than setting excessive policies to prevent gentrification.
