이혼한 한부모여성의 섹슈얼리티에 대한 질적 연구
A Qualitative Study on Sexuality of Divorced Single-Mothers

초록
본 연구는 내부자 시선으로 이혼한 한부모여성의 섹슈얼리티 경험과 구성을 드러내고자 하였다. 이혼 한부모여성의 존재성, 가장-부모-싱글로서의 역할 갈등과 조화를 둘러싼 역동적 현실, 이혼한 한부모여성의 섹슈얼리티 구성에서 이혼이라는 생애경험이 가져온 변화-남녀의 관계, 성적 욕망의 구현, 그리고 결혼과 가족, 이혼한 한부모여성의 섹슈얼리티를 둘러싼 사회적 시선과 사회문화적 맥락을 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 이혼한한부모여성 참여자 8명을 심층 면접하고 Colaizzi의 현상학적 자료분석 방법으로 공통적인 경험의 속성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 이혼한 한부모여성들은 싱글이라는 정체성 속에서 이혼과정의 트라우마를 극복하고, 경제적 안정화, 자녀와의 소통을 기반으로 섹슈얼리티를 구성･경험하고 있으며 그 과정에서 이혼에 대한 성찰적 태도를 구축하고 있었다. 이혼 한부모여성은 제도적 결혼･가족 구성과 섹슈얼리티 구성을 분리함으로써 남성과의 관계에서의 주체성, 협상력을 발휘하고 있으며 이혼 전보다 주도적인 섹슈얼리티를 구성하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 이혼한 한부모의 섹슈얼리티를 둘러싼 전통적이고 근대적인 규범은 이혼한 한부모의 내면과 사회적 관계에서 갈등의 요소로 작용할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 우리사회의 이혼한 한부모여성을 둘러싼 가족-결혼-섹슈얼리티의 사회문화적 맥락과 한계, 그에 대한 새로운 주체적 도전의 양상을 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study sought to confirm the sexuality reality surrounding the existence of divorced single-mothers, dynamic and harmony in their role as head-parent-single. Eight divorced single-mothers were interviewed in-depth and were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological data analysis method. As a result, it was confirmed that divorced single-mothers were experiencing sexuality through overcoming trauma in the divorce process, stabilizing economic problems, and communicating with her children. Divorced single-mothers were found to be exercising self-reliance, bargaining power in their relationships with men by separating the marriage-family from sexuality, and forming a more active attitude than their previous marriage. It has been confirmed that the traditional and modern norms surrounding the sexuality of divorced single-mothers can serve as an element of conflict. We would like to discuss the socio-cultural context, limitations and change of family-marriage-sexuality surrounding divorced single-mothers in our society.
