중소기업 간 협력과정에 있어서 관계적 근접성의 상대적 중요도: 구미기업부설연구소협의회의 사례

The purpose of this study is to analyze the importance of relational proximity on cooperation between SMEs. In a rapidly changing environment, cooperation between companies is important for SMEs to secure technological competitiveness. Relational proximity plays an important role in explaining cooperation between organizations. However, research focused on the relational proximity of cooperation between SMEs has been rather limited. In this situation, this study makes use of the case of the "Gumi Research Institute Council" to clarify the relative importance of relational proximity on SMEs' cooperation process using AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis. As a result of the analysis, the relative importance of technological proximity was the highest in both the formation and implementation stages of cooperation between SMEs, followed by social and organizational proximity. In the formation stage, the detailed factors of relational proximity were possessing complementary technologies, trust in partners, goal setting and agreement, and so on. And in the implementation stage, the order of the similarity of specialized technology, compliance with procedures and rules, and trust in partners were followed. Finally, since the importance of relational proximity has been captured in the process of cooperation between SMEs, it is necessary to consider various institutional aspects for strengthen relational proximity.
