Z-score를 활용한 사회적기업의 시도별 사회경제적 성과지수: 일자리제공형 사회적기업을 중심으로

In this study, the socioeconomic performance index of 15 cities and provinces is derived using the 2019 Autonomous Management Disclosure Data(focused on 534 job-providing social enterprise) provided by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency. Methods Z-score (standard normal distribution) primarily transforms the basic indicators of social and economic performance and generates a combined index of the two variables to give scores by region according to location and aggregate them to produce socioeconomic performance indices. In detail, economic performance is assessed using efficiency, labor productivity and profitability, and social performance is measured through labor integration, working conditions for the vulnerable and diversity of decision-making. According to the analysis, economic performance was found to have a wide gap across cities and provinces compared to social performance, followed by high economic performance in Jeonbuk, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Social achievements were forming a third-place finish in Incheon and Ulsan, with Jeonbuk and Gyeonggi tied for first. Looking at economic and social achievements, Jeonbuk, Gyeonggi, Seoul, and Chungbuk were both found to be better than other cities and provinces. It is meaningful that this study compared and analyzed socioeconomic performance of social enterprises by city and province for the first time. However, because of its strong exploratory nature, it leaves follow-up tasks such as expanding performance variables, reflecting expert groups' opinions on weighting by item, and analyzing interim support organizations for social enterprises.
