보호관찰청소년의 탈비행 과정에서 사회적 자본과 개인 주체성의 종단적 관계: 자기회귀 교차지연 모형의 적용

사회적 자본과 개인 주체성은 서로 상호작용하여 탈비행에 영향을 미칠 수 있음에도 불구하고 탈비행 과정에 이르는 인과 경로는 학자마다 서로 대립되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 탈비행 과정에서 사회적 자본과 개인 주체성이 어떠한 인과 관계를 형성하는지 교호적인 연쇄 과정을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 소년법상 5호 처분(장기보호관찰, 2년)을 명령받고 1년동안 탈비행 상태를 유지한 채 보호관찰을 받고 있는 대상자 120명을 대상으로 1년 동안 3개월을 단위로 사회적 자본과 개인 주체성을 반복 측정하고, 자기회귀 교차지연 모형(autoregressive cross-lagged model)을 적용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과 이전 시점의 사회적 자본은 이후 시점의 사회적 자본에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 이전 시점의 개인 주체성도 이후 시점의 개인 주체성에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 이전 시점의 개인 주체성은 이후 시점의 사회적 자본에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나, 이전 시점의 사회적 자본은 이후 시점의 개인 주체성에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 보호소년의 재범 방지 및 탈비행 촉진을 위한 상담 개입과 소년보호 정책 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
Despite the fact that social capital and human agency can interact with each other and affect desistance from crime, the causal path leading to the desistance process is confronted by scholars. Therefore, this study analyzed the longitudinal reciprocal sequence relationship between social capital and human agency in the desistance process. For this purpose, 120 juveniles who received the No. 5 probation were measured social capital and human agency three times every three months, and it was verified by applying the autoregressive cross-lagged model. Results showed that, first, result of the stability coefficient, reflecting the autoregressive coefficients of each variable, show that human agency and social capital were significantly stable over time. Second, result of the cross-lagged coefficient, show that social capital had not a significant effect on human agency, whereas human agency had a significant effect on social capital. Based on the results of this study, counseling intervention and juvenile protection policy were discussed.
