중년기 여성의 이혼위기감 형성 및 해소 경험 연구: 부부 집단상담 참여자를 중심으로

This study aimed to explore the formation and resolution of middle-aged women’s divorce crisis who participated in group counseling for couples. This study presented theories about couple relation and divorce, divorce crisis of middle-aged women, efforts to resolve the divorce crisis and group counseling for couples and set analysis clues according to research objective. A total of ten middle-aged women were selected as research participants and data were collected through 1:1 in-depth interviews. This study adopted a case study approach suggested by Creswell(2013) to resolve the clue of the analysis. This study analyzed ‘in-case analysis’ and ‘case by case analysis’ according to the study procedure. In-case analysis revealed formation and resolution experience process of the middle-aged women’s divorce crisis in the overall context of life. Case by case analysis extracted three stage of formation of divorce crisis, resolution of divorce crisis and creation of new marital relations. The stage of formation of divorce crisis integrated themes including ‘inner world of hatred fixation towards their husbands’, ‘composition of divorce decision’, ‘reason of divorce anxiety’, ‘problem behavior of their husbands that cause hatred’. The stage of resolution of divorce crisis integrated themes including ‘personal efforts to improve the relationship’, ‘result of efforts for conjugal relations improvement through group counseling for couples’, ‘husband’s introspection through recognition of other experience’. The stage of creation of new marital relations integrated themes including ‘flexible perception’, ‘altered husband’. Based on the results of analysis, researcher presented the need of establishment of divorce crisis management system, activation of group counseling for couples and development of program for continuing marital relations after resolving the crisis as practical and political suggestions.
