The share of the aviation industry in the global market is gradually increasing. Korea’sairline passenger transport business is changing rapidly with major airlines changing their governancestructure and ethical management issues. As a result, the airline passenger industry, like the traditionalindustry, is undergoing a very high level of competition and change. In addition to intensifyingcompetition, airlines are looking for ways to improve their service quality to secure a competitiveedge despite weak external factors. In particular, customer satisfaction with in-flight service thatdirectly affects customers in the field of aviation is directly related to the reputation and re-use ofairlines. Therefore, the quality of aviation service that provides this is the most important successfactor (Park et al. 2004). There are many factors that affect the job quality of flight attendants, butthere are new issues regarding the operation of flight cabin crews. In particular, the issue of leadershipeffectiveness has been raised steadily before, and the necessity of a new HR strategy dimension israised. Leader-centered and task-oriented relationships have proved to be necessary for both industriesthat are exclusive and require work schedules and creative flexibility (Fiedler, 1964). Also, “Jobembeddedness” is emerging as a new HR strategy execution variable. Job embeddedness is an emotionalconcept such as the willingness to remain in the organization. Recent studies have focused onmore active concepts that induce positive job behavior and attitudes toward the organization beyondthe passive aspects affecting workplace retention. This study examined the differential effects ofrelation-oriented and task-oriented leadership styles on organizational performance. We also triedto find out whether job attitude perception regulates these relationships. Abstract

The questionnaire werecollected from all the current and current crew members of Major Airways and five statisticallyinsignificant answers were removed and the final 125 was used. As a result of the empirical analysis, relationship-based leadership had a strong positive effect on organizational commitment, and task-basedleadership had a strong positive effect on job commitment. The stronger the job attitude, the more they control job commitment and organizational commitment. Similar to previous studies on leadership, the relationship-based leadership style has a strong positive relationship with the organization, andthe task-oriented leadership style has been shown to make a strong organizational effort towardachieving work and strong adhesion to the organization. The stronger the job attitude, the strongerthe will to achieve the organization and the job. Airline cabin crews are very effective in achievingorganizational performance when leaders value their interests and relationships in their jobs, and thehigher the job attitude, the higher the self-esteem and value of the service quality they provide.
