Given that employee voice can benefit organizations by promoting innovation and creativity, voice remains one of the meaningful research topics. The purpose of this study is to reveal whether empowerment leadership behavior such as participative decision-making, coaching and informing act as antecedents of employee voice behavior. In particular, this research explores the mediation effect of employee voice between empowerment leadership behavior dimensions and employee creativity. Using the survey method, this study used 220 samples for the quantitative analysis. The results were as followed. First, among empowerment leadership behaviors, coaching and informing had a significant impact on employee voice respectively while participative decision-making was not supported statistically. More importantly, employee voice did partially mediate the associations between empowerment leadership behaviors (coaching and informing) and employee creativity. In conclusion, we discussed the theoretical and practical implications and limitations.
