There are a lot of reasons for committing suicide. Modern society is experiencing many social phenomena in the space of the Internet. It should not be overlooked that the number of female suicides is increasing in the space of the Internet. As such, it is difficult to apply clearly whether suicide was committed through the Internet or whether suicide attempts were made due to biological factors or psychological causes. Comprehensive analysis based on each case and theory, and various methodological approaches based on accumulated information such as suicide are needed. According to Article 19-3 of the Act on the Prevention of Suicide, the Minister of Health and Welfare may, if the personal information subject agrees, collect, analyze and manage suicide statistics. In addition, the National Health Insurance Corporation plans to expand its infrastructure, and establish an envrionment to utilize various dada by providing medical information to the medical community, including medical information currently held by the National Health Insurance Corporation. It is clear that suicide is one of the social phenomena that can cause harm to others, but the current law has limited legal basis for the role of suicide prevention in the Internet space. So it is necessary to actively intervene when posting suicide inscriptions on the Internet using medical information together with the private sector, the government, academia, and hospitals. For example, the right to prevent suicide should be invoked, such as legal grounds being established to block and take measures to maintain public well-being and order, such as preventing the spread of suicide-related comments. In particular, it would be an effective suicide prevention policy if the cases of suicide attempted using the Internet were analyzed on a case-by-case basis, in parallel with research such as comprehensive analysis and applicabale laws.
