중소기업의 수출경쟁력 지수개발에 관한 연구

본 연구는 우리나라 중소기업의 수출경쟁력을 진단할 수 있는 평가모델을 개발하는 것이 주목적이라 하겠다. 이를 위해 기존의 수출경쟁력모델인 시장점유율 지수(MSI: Market Share Index), 현시비교우위지수(RCAI: Revealed Comparative Advantage Index), 무역특화지수(TSI: Trade Specialization Index), 수출유사성지수(ESI: Export Similarity Index)를 고려하였다. 뿐만 아니라 경영자 역량, 글로벌 역량, 동적 역량, 조직운영역량 등을 고려한 통합적 관점의 ECISME(Export Competitiveness Index for Small and Midium-sized Enterprise) 지수를 개발하였다. 개발된 지수를 총 106개의 중소기업에 적용하여 분석해 보았다. 그 결과, 전체 기업의 ECISME 지수는 53.8점으로 나타났으며, ECISME 등급으로 나타낼 경우 D등급으로 나타났다. 또한, 산업별로 구분하여 분석해 보면, 자동차부품(55.8)이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 섬유제품(55.1), 의료정밀기기(54.3), 전자부품(53.0), 고무/플라스틱(51.4)의 순으로 분석되었다. 그리고, ECISME는 기업의 매출액, 재무성과, 비재무성과에 양(+)의 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 수출기업에 대한 종합적 역량진단도구로 활용될 수 있으며, 중소기업을 위한 정책 개발에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation model that can diagnose the export competitiveness for Korean SMEs. This research reviewed the previous export competitiveness models, the Market Share Index (MSI), the Revealed Comparison Advantage Index (RCAI), the Trade Specialization Index (TSI), and the Export Simplicity Index (ESI). In addition, the ECISME (Export Competitiveness Index for Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) index was developed in an integrated perspective that consider management competencies, global competencies, dynamic competencies and organizational operation competencies. The developed index was applied to a total of 106 SMEs and analyzed. As a result, the ECISME index was 53.8 points, and the ECISME grade was D grade. In addition, when analyzed by industry, automobile parts (55.8) were the highest, followed by textile products (55.1), medical precision equipment (54.3), electronic parts (53.0), and rubber/plastic (51.4). This study analyzed ECISME characteristics, ECISME has a positive (+) significant effect on corporate sales, financial performance, and non-financial performance, respectively. Unlike the existing export competitiveness index, the most difference of this research is to consider the characteristics of individual SMEs. This study can be used as a comprehensive competency diagnosis tool for export companies and is expected to be helpful in policy development for SMEs.
