디자인 교육은 전문인 양성뿐 아니라 일반 교육에서도 그 중요성이 인지되고 있고, 여러 나라에서도 디자인 교육이 창의성 과 문제해결력을 키울 수 있는 전인적 교육으로 시행되고 있다. 우리나라에서도 ‘디자인’이라는 단어가 이제는 각 분야에서 쓰이며 친숙해지고 있으며, 디자인의 중요성과 관심이 날로 증대되고 있다. 디자인교육을 통해 나라의 경쟁력 또한 가세하 고 있는 것이 입증되고 있으며, 우리나라도 디자인교육의 중요성을 알고 유·아동기 시기부터 교육을 하고자 디자인 교과서 및 다양한 기관의 활동이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 교육의 다양성과 연계성은 아직 발전하고 보완해야 할 부분으로 그 시 작점인 유·아동기에서도 다양한 디자인 교육이 시행되고 있지 못하고 있다. 이 논문은 누리과정을 중심으로 개발한 월별 DIY 체험형 디자인 교구 중 체험형 콘텐츠인 ‘나만의 DIY 슬리퍼 만들기’ 부분에서 ‘풋웨어 디자인 교구’의 보완점을 발견 하고, 나이별 발달단계에 맞는 맞춤형 교구를 연구하여 앞으로 유·아동의 연령대별로 적용 가능하고 발전 가능성이 있는 DIY 디자인 교구를 제시하고 가능성을 탐구해보고자 한다.
Abstract
Design education is recognized for its importance not only in training professionals but also in general education, and design education is being conducted in many countries as a whole-person education that can foster creativity and problem-solving skills. In Korea, the term ‘design’ is now used and familiar in various fields, and the importance and interest of design are increasing. Design education is proving that the competitiveness of the country is also being added, and Korea is also aware of the importance of design education and is engaged in activities of design textbooks and various institutions to educate from the early childhood. However, diversity and connectivity in education are still needed to be developed and supplemented, and various design education is not being carried out in the infant and child industries, which are the starting points. Among the monthly DIY experiential design tools developed around the Nuri process, the paper finds the complementary point of the ‘footware DIY design design tool’ in the ‘making my own DIY slippers’ section, and studies customized dioceses suitable for the development stage by age, presenting DIY design tools that can be applied and developed by children and each age group in the future and exploring possibilities.
