정보시스템의 이용과 개인 사용자에 대한 영향

The link between IS(Information Systems) use and individual impacts is critical research theme in MIS discipline. Extensive research efforts including IS Success Model have been paid to discover the intrinsic nature of the relationship. A large number of research results suggest that IS use has a positive impact on individual users. However, most previous studies on the link have a limitation of measuring IS use and individual impacts in a superficial way. As an effort to explore intrinsic natures of the relationship between IS use and individual impacts, this study attempts to broaden the domain of the system use concept by developing measurement scales in terms of user, tasks, system characteristics. In addition, the multi-dimensional aspects of individual impacts were measured with decision-making, relatedness, self-development, going beyond the simple concept of job performance. The PLS results testing the research model built from theoretical frameworks found that IS use is positively related to decision-making, relatedness, and self-development. However, it also suggests the need for caution in interpreting the results, in that IS use is equally contributed to all three sub-dimensions of the individual impacts. Consequently, the research results show that the study on IS use-individual impact must tap into the context of task environments in which individual users use the IS to accomplish their tasks. Besides, it is also found that IS use can improve various task-related performance at a working context, which is insightful in comprehensively understanding the genuine relationship between IS use and individual impacts in a working environment.
