미용대회 헤어컬러 분석을 통한 색채배색 연구 - O.M.C 헤어월드를 중심으로

In the early part of the 21st century, hairstyles have emerged as one of the most common means for people to express their beauty in modern society. As more consumers show an interest in hairstyling, the necessity for creative hairstyles has increased. Hairstyles have been scientifically analyzed and reviewed, and their artistic aspects and hairstyling skills have been considered more seriously. Under such circumstances, hairdressers receive inspiration from diverse missions seen at hairdressing competitions in terms of creative design and coloration. Among these hairdressing competitions, Organization Mondiale de la Coiffure (OMC) are the trendiest and most popular events. In these hairdressing contests, color is important and accounts for a great portion of the style, having a lot of influence on the hair design and images presented. Therefore, there have been diverse analyses on color to help hairstylists apply the color they want, its application to works during hairdressing competitions, and various other motives. This study analyzes colors used at hairdressing competitions by event and year and investigates the color arrangement applied to works from the contests. For this, the images of hairstyles from the O.M.C Hair World Championships from 2014, when Korean hairdressers started to win championships, to 2018 were analyzed. It is anticipated that the results will serve as basic data for analyzing coloration and hair collections, which could be used in hairstyling and many other fields as well as predicting future coloration trends.
