Unification means integration into a single constitutional system. In unification, Overcoming the heterogeneity of each field of society is the biggest problem. This study focuses on the unification of the educational system between South Korea and North Korea. Especially we tried to analyze the commonalities and differences between South Korea and North Korea, focusing on law-related education(LRE) in social studies. For this purpose, the characteristics of the legal system and the education system in North Korea were summarized. And a full-scale analysis of secondary LRE in North Korea was conducted. the results are as follow: First, in terms of educational objectives, North Korea's LRE emphasizes the spirit of compliance, injection. In addition, the state and Workers' Party of (North) Korea are leading the LRE. Second, in terms of approach, North Korea's LRE was found to be close to the ’scared straight approach’ or ’emperor’s clothes approach’. Third, in terms of content, nearly half of North Korea's LRE consists of criminal law content. From this, it can be seen that most of the content emphasizes state control and the dedication of the people. There are some differences in secondary LRE between South Korea and North Korea. However, it is necessary to look for a common starting point for LRE between South Korea and North Korea by paying attention to the commonalities.
