International emission issues make it essential to develop emission reduction devices and to have accurate measurement technology. It became possible to measure the concentration of the target gas using the tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy(TDLAS) technique. This study tested the ammonia gas measurement technology using TDLAS in order to compare the filter deodorization performance of each vehicle. The measurement results were compared with the existing gas detection method(KS I 2218). As a result of comparing the filtering performance, the TDLAS result showed less performance than the conventional detection method. Furthermore, the diatomite filters were excellent, with over 65.3 % in ammonia 100 ppm than the activated carbon filters to deodorization performance. Accordingly, the effectiveness of the deodorization performance measurement technique using TDLAS can be verified.
