코로나19와 일터환경: 재택근무에 대한 국내언론보도기사 분석

신종 코로나바이러스감염증(코로나19)의 장기화로 인해 HRD를 둘러싼 일터 환경이 크게 변화되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 코로나19과 관련하여 일터환경에서 발생한 중요 변화 중 하나인 재택근무의 일상화에 관해 보도된 언론기사 키워드를 대상으로 주요 이슈와 시기별 변화 동향을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 재택근무의 의미를 규정하고, ‘코로나’, ‘재택근무’를 포함하는 언론기사를 수집하여, 토픽모델링 분석을 실시하였다. 자료의 수집은 종합일간지, 경제지, 지역일간지, 방송사 등을 포함하는 뉴스 빅데이터 분석 시스템 빅카인즈를 활용하고, 분석에는 R프로그램 tm패키지를 활용하였다. TF-IDF 분석결과 코로나19가 확산될 때는 특정 대기업 중심으로 재택근무가 확대되는 것에 대한 언급이 있었고, 확산세가 약할 때에는 재택근무에 의한 업무 문화 변화, 재택근무의 효과성 논의, 새로운 일터로서 가정에서의 일과 삶의 구분 문제, 재택근무의 관리 문제 등이 빈출하는 것으로 나타났다. LDF토픽모델링 결과로는 1)재택근무의 일상화와 긍정적 업무 효율성 인식, 2)재택근무 확산에 따른 가정의 일터화, 3)중소기업의 재택근무 솔루션 탐색 및 적용 확대, 4)재택근무의 확대에 따른 보안 문제, 5)코로나19 확산에 따른 재택근무 전환, 6)글로벌 기업의 재택근무 효과성 논의, 7)새로운 일터문화와 조직관리 시스템의 등장, 8)대기업의 유연한 재택근무 체제 구축 등이 도출되었다. 이 연구는 조직에 보편화된 재택근무에 관한 국내 언론보도 기사에서 드러나는 이해와 논쟁을 종합적으로 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.
Abstract
Due to prolonged COVID-19, HRD related workplace environment is greatly changing. The purpose of this study is to analyze key issues and trends of key words in reported news articles about routinized telecommuting in transition. Accordingly, the meaning of telecommuting is defined and articles including key words, `COVID-19' and `telecommuting', are collected and analyzed based on topic modeling analysis. The data was retrieved from Bigkinds, Korean bigdata analysis system, which holds daily newspapers, economic journals, local daily newspapers, and broadcasting companies; then, it was analyzed by R program, tm package. After TF-IDF analysis, there were comments about the expansion of telecommuting among certain conglomerates during the spread. When the spread weakened, comments on changes in workplace culture, discussions on the effectiveness, problems of separating work and life in their own home as a new workplace, and issues on managing telecommuting, etc. were mentioned. The result of the LDF topic modeling showed; 1) Recognition on routinized telecommuting and positives in work efficiency, 2) Home becoming a workplace, 3) Issues on SMEs applying telecommuting, 4) Security matters, 5) Transition in telecommuting, 6) Effectiveness of Telecommuting at MNCs; 7) Emergence of new workplace culture and organizational management system; 8) Conglomerates’ establishing a flexible telecommuting system. This study is significant for comprehensive review of understandings and controversies over telecommuting in local media reports.
