In a situation where the market is disrupted by the emergence of new technologies, the concept of ambidexterity has been developed as a strategy to respond to this environmental change. Ambidexterity is a strategic direction that simultaneously pursues exploitation and exploration in business innovation. This theory has been established as a huge research territory by numerous researchers. The researcher who has made the greatest contribution in developing this theory is Professor Charles O'Reilly who is now a professor at graduate school of business at stanford university. The study interviewed Professor Charles O'Reilly to provide practical guidance and academic insights to business executives and researchers in the fields of strategy and innovation in Korea. The purpose of this article is to present the full text of that interview.
