윤동주와 윤동주의 시는 지난 세기 40년대부터 한국에 널리 알려지기 시작하면서 한국국민들의 존경을 받는 애국시인으로 인정되어 왔고 지난 세기 80년대부터 중국에 알려지기 시작하면서 “중국조선족 애국시인”으로 인정되기 시작하였다. 현재, 윤동주는 “재외동포재단의 역사 속 다양한 인물을 재외동포로 재조명할 필요”로 인해 한국국민에서 제외되어 중국국적을 가진 재외동포로 인정되면서 논쟁이 되고 있다. 현재, “대한민국 임시정부의 법통(法統)을 계승한 한국에서는 외국국적을 가진 우수인재들에게 복수국적을 허용해 주고 있는 반면 윤동주와 이국땅에 묻혀있는 일부 독립투사들의 한국국적을 취소하고 있다. 윤동주의 국적문제는 윤동주 한 사람의 국적문제에 그치는 것이 아니라 식민지시대에 민족의 해방과 조국의 광복을 위해 싸우다가 희생되어 이국땅에 묻혀 있는 일부 독립투사들의 국적문제 그리고 고인이 된 그들의 희생과 공헌과도 직접적인 연관성을 갖고 있다. 윤동주와 일부 독립투사들을 한국국민에서 배제시키는 것은 그들의 공헌과 희생에 대한 불 존중으로 될 뿐만 아니라 한반도의 독립운동사에 관한 국사편찬에도 어느 정도 영향을 주게 되는 것이 아니냐 하는 의문이다. 반대로 단일국적을 선호하고 있는 중국에서는 저항시인 윤동주 그리고 중국 땅에서 독립운동에 참가하고 희생을 치른 많은 독립투사들에게도 중국국적을 부여해 주고 있다. 윤동주와 일부 독립투사들에 대한 이중국적인정여부는 그들이 치른 희생과 정신에 대한 존중뿐 아니라 나아가서 한반도의 역사에 대한 존중이아니냐 하는 견해이다.
Abstract
The poems of Yoon dongju and Yoon dongju have been widely known in South Korea since the 1940s and have been respected by South Koreans. Since the 1980s, they have been well known in China and later known as “Chinese Korean patriotic poets”. At present, Yoon dongju was excluded from South Korea because of the “necessity of readjusting the figures of foreign compatriots in the history”, and became a Foreign compatriot with Chinese nationality, which caused controversy. At present, South Korea, the successor to the provisional government of South Korea, granted dual citizenship to talented people, but abolished the Korean citizenship of Yoon dongju and some anti-Japanese martyrs buried in foreign countries. The issue of the nationality of Yoon dongju is not only a matter of the nationality of the individual, but also the nationality of some anti-Japanese martyrs buried in foreign countries during the struggle for national liberation and the recovery of the motherland during the colonial period. It is related to the sacrifice and personality of the deceased and has a direct connection with the history of the Korean Peninsula. The exclusion of Yoon dongju and some of the independence fighters from South Korea is not only disrespectful to their contributions and sacrifices, but also a split in the compilation of national history on the Korean Peninsula. By contrast, China, which advocates a single nationality, has granted Chinese citizenship to Yoon dongju, who was excluded from South Korea, and to some of the anti-Japanese martyrs who participated in the anti-Japanese movement in China and paid sacrifices. The recognition of the dual nationality of Yoon dongju and the independence fighters is not only a respect for the sacrifice and spirit they have made, but also for the historical truth of the Korean Peninsula.
