초록

In the modern society, various places and spaces are actively shared by users, and there are very limited ways to resolve the friction and crimes between users. In particular, the play space mainly used by children is a public space that is always shared by a large number of users, and is likely to be easily exposed to crime. This study aims to investigate design preferences for constructing a play space design to which CPTED(Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) is applied. Diverse keywords were derived through a number of cases of crime prevention design, and major keywords were derived around domestic and overseas play space and playground design cases. The top keywords were derived through the listing and grouping of each extracted keyword, and the priority of each keyword was analyzed using AHP. The keywords were largely classified into three properties: physical, content, and environmental properties of CPTED play space design, and the priority of keyword for each property was analyzed. The top priority on each properties respectively came out to be “Safety/Openness/Sustainability”, “Cooperation/Creativity/Activeness”, and “Accessibility/Publicity/Locality”. This study will be able to provide the design guidelines for constructing playgrounds and play spaces that play a important role as a public space while preventing crime and ensuring safety and stability for children and other users as well.
