경로우대제도 이용 결정요인 연구 - 지하철 무임승차를 중심으로 -

The preferential treatment in honor of the elderly has a net function that makes life easier and more prosperous for the elderly, but on the other hand, it uses facilities and services for free or at a discounted rate, raising concerns about the shift in costs and conflicts among generations. Thus far, it has been mainly discussed ways of increasing the target age or preserving the loss of the owners of facilities and services, and this study analyzed the determinants of the senior citizens' use of the system to find a more fundamental alternative. The level of use of free subway trains by senior citizens, a representative system of preferential routes, was set as a dependent variable, and the individual's characteristics (predisposing characteristics), economic level (enabling resources), and desire to use (needs) based on Anderson's behavioral model commonly used in the elderly welfare research. According to the analysis, the lower the age of men and the lower the education level, the higher the level of free rides on the subway. Among the volunteers, the lower the income level, the higher was the use of free subway trains when workers and property income or public pensions were received. Among them, the higher the desire to travel to and from work, such as daily, learning and education, social and regular situations, such as commuting, and others, the higher the level of free riding on the subway.
