초기 기술창업기업의 특성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 시장지향성, 기술지향성 및 최고경영자역량 요인 비교

Although startups based on innovative ideas and technologies have been revitalized, there are many difficulties in securing market competitiveness or creating business performance. The entrepreneurship and institutional economic environment can cause differences in productivity. However, there is a lack of studies at the regional level that empirically analyzes various factors affecting business performance in the early stage of startups, where it is difficult to collect quantitative data. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the effects of market orientation, technology orientation, and CEO competency of early technology based startups on their business performance. As a result of the analysis on early technology based start-ups in Busan, competitor orientation and cooperation orientation among the sub-factors of market orientation, R&D capability among the sub-factors of technology orientation, and overseas work/education experience among the sub-factors of CEO competency have significant and positive effect on business performance. This study could provide useful information for the future strategies of early technology based startups and the role of CEOs, from the perspective of institutional economics and business ecosystem.
