본 연구는 스마트기술의 활용 정도에 영향을 주는 요인들이 무엇인지를 실증 분석하였다. 스마트기술의 활용에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관한 본 연구의 가설들은 제도변화 이론들에 근거해서 작업조직의 특성(직무표준화 공정의 비율, 3정5행의 실행 정도, 자동화공정의 비율), 인적자원 특성(연구개발엔지니어의 비중, 저연령 근로자 비중, 교육훈련, 근속년수, 근로자들의 수용성), 제도적 요인(최대 원청기업에 대한 매출액 집중도, 노사관계 우호성, 노동조합의 존재) 운영적 요인(경영진의 추진전략 수준, 스마트기술의 설계와 운영에 대한 근로자 참여) 등의 범주로 구분해서 설정되었다. 본 연구의 회귀모형은 스마트기술의 활용도를 종속변수로 하는 서열로짓모형이었다. 분석 결과, 작업조직의 특성 중 직무표준화 공정의 비율(+), 3정5행의 실행 정도(+), 자동화공정의 비율(+) 등이, 인적자원의 특성 중 근로자들의 수용성(+)과 부분적으로 근속년수(+) 등이, 제도적 요인 중 노동조합의 존재(-)와 노사관계 우호성(+) 등이, 운영적 요인 중 경영진의 추진전략 수준(+), 스마트기술 설계에 대한 엔지니어 참여(+), 스마트기술 운영 프로그램에 대한 작업자 참여(+) 등이 이론적 가설에 부합되는 방향으로 통계적으로 유의함을 보이고 있다. 이들 변수 중 자동화공정의 비중, 3정5행 등은 근로자 수용성과 경영진의 추진전략 실행 정도 등을 매개로 해서 스마트기술의 활용에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 마지막으로 분석 결과를 요약하고 정책적 시사점과 연구의 한계를 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study carries out an empirical analysis on what affects the degree of utilizing smart technology(ST). Drawing upon some theories of institutional change, I set the hypotheses by categorizing the influentials into characteristics of work organization(the proportion of standardized jobs, 3R5S, and the proportion of automated work processes), HR factors(the proportion of R&D staffs, the proportion of younger workers below 40, training, job tenure, and workers’ acceptance to ST), institutional factors(the proportion of sales for the largest customer, cooperative labor-management relations, and the existence of labor union) and operational factors(ST adoption strategy by management and employee involvement in design and operation of ST). The statistical model is ordered logit model whose dependent variable is the extent to which ST is utilized. The results of this study support many of the hypotheses: the proportion of standardized jobs, 3R5S, the proportion of automated work processes, employees’ acceptance to ST, partially job tenure of production workers, the existence of labor union, cooperative labor-management relations, the extent of ST adoption strategy by management, engineer involvement in design of ST, and workers’ involvement in operational program of ST affect significantly the degree of utilizing ST, as expected theoretically by this study. Additionally I find that employee acceptance and the extent of ST adoption strategy by management mediate the effects of 3R5S, the proportion of automated work processes, on the degree of utilizing ST. Finally the empirical results are summarized and their implications and limitations are discussed.
