공간구문론을 활용한 생태관광지의 시설배치 특성 분석: 시흥갯골생태공원 사례

The purpose of this study is to examine the facility layout characteristics by main attractions and types of facilities and analyze the spatial structure of eco-tourism destinations using space syntax. We selected Gaetgol eco-park in Siheung city as the study site, developed the space syntax integration values including global and local integration, and verified the correlation of floating population data visiting the park and the space syntax integration value. This study collected data from the floating population based on LTE signal data in 2020 and used DepthmapX for space syntax analysis. The results of this study revealed that first, Gaetgol eco-park is a space where visitors can recognize the entire space and find directions easily. Second, the access to the amusement facilities which provides a variety of hands-on activities to visitors was high while the access to the cultural facilities where visitors can experience ecological education pro- grams was relatively low. Third, the results showed that there was a significant correlation between local integration of main attractions and the floating population visiting the park. In other words, it means that the better the access to the facilities, the more the floating population. The study highlighted that facility layout should be taken into account of visitors’ movement patterns to enhance their convenience and con- serve the ecological environment. In conclusion, we expect that this study contributes to establishing an effective facility layout and sustainable operation management of ecotourism parks.
