As modern people's interest in health increases, interest in antioxidants for immunity enhancement, aging suppression and delay, and health maintenance increases. Cosmetics also use natural products as a new method to suppress skin pathogens while minimizing the side effects caused by the use of antibiotics. Research using the is being actively conducted. Therefore, in this study, in order to investigate the use of cosmetic materials using coffee tree leaves, young leaves and adult leaves were extracted by 70% ethanol extraction method, and antioxidant, tyrosinase inhibitory effect, elastase inhibitory effect, and antibacterial effect were measured. The total polyphenol content and flavonoid content of the young leaf extract was higher than that of the adult leaf. As a result of measuring the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging ability and SOD-like activity, similar results were confirmed for the young leaf and the adult leaf. Although the tyrosinase inhibitory effect was similar, the elastase inhibitory effect was confirmed to be higher in young leaves. As a result of measuring the antibacterial effect against S. epidermidis, S. aureus, P. acnes, C. xerosis, M. furfur, C. albicans, T. rubrun, and T. mentagrophytes, the antibacterial effect was confirmed for all bacteria. From the above results, coffee tree leaf extract can be expected to have various functions such as antioxidant effect, whitening, wrinkle suppression, and antibacterial effect as a cosmetic material.
