전남지방 논매기소리의 공간적 분포특성 및 문화지역: 아리시고나 류, 산아지소리, 절로소리, 세화자(세월이)소리를 중심으로

This study investigates the distribution characteristics and cultural region of weeding songs in Jeonnam district. These songs include the ‘Arishigona series’, ‘Sanaji song’, ‘Jeolo song’, and ‘Sehwaja (Sewoli) song’. The songs were found to clearly display regional distribution patterns. For example, the ‘Arishigona series’ are concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yeongsan River, while the ‘Sanaji song’ is mainly distributed in the middle and upper reaches of the Seomjin River and the Boseong River basin. The ‘Jeolo song’ is in the islands and coastal areas in the southwestern part of Jeonnam, including Jindo and Shinan, and the ‘Sehwaja (Sewoli) song’ in the middle and upper reaches of the Yeongsan River. The cultural centers of these songs are considered to be the right bank in the middle reaches of the Yeongsan River, the Boseong River basin, the whole area of Sopo Bay in Jindo-gun, and the left bank in the middle reaches of the Yeongsan River, respectively. Meanwhile, the findings of this study are different from those of previous research conducted by Lee (2003) and Lee et al. (2020a; 2020b) in the scope of the cultural region, representative form, and propagation path. The reason is that the amount of data used in this study is larger than that of the previous research, and the types of song forms may be classified into different types due to a mistake in hearing and recording received pronunciations with regional accents.
