A Study on Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) in China

Since China joined the World Trade Organization(WTO) in 2001, China has been actively participating in global economic activities, accelerating Chinese companies' entry into overseas markets. Therefore, in China today, corporate social responsibility(CSR) is recognized as an important issue not only for local companies but also for global companies. Most of the state-owned enterprises in China have implemented Social Responsibility in accordance with the government-led CSR principles. While global global enterprises follow comprehensive CSR guidelines presented by international non-governmental organizations(NGOs), most state-owned enterprises in China follow the CSR principles established by the Chinese government. The purpose of this study is to first analyze the overall concept of corporate social responsibility(CSR). Second, I would like to review the development process of Chinese corporate social responsibility(CSR). Third, we will analyze the normative trends and composition of Chinese corporate social responsibility(CSR), and furthermore, compare and analyze Chinese CSR and global CSR. Fourth, we would like to present the results and implications of this study.
