초록
Autonomous delivery robots (ADRs) are robots that deliver parcels to customers. ADRs have the advantage of responding to customers' preferences for contactless services and reducing labor intensity due to increased demand for delievery through collaboration with vehicles. In this work, we propose an ADR-vehicle collaboration strategy as a way to leverage ADR in the logistics industry. To this end, we propose a four-stage heuristic that can handle large- scale instances in real time. In experiments, we address multiple ADR designs representing commercialized ADRs and simulate them on instances generated from real-world geographic databases. Our results show that ADR-vehicle collaboration derives a cost advantage over using only vehicles in urban logistics. Moreover, simulation results show that the use of ADR can significantly reduce the labor intensity of workers.

Our results show that ADR-vehicle collaboration derives a cost advantage over using only vehicles in urban logistics. Moreover, simulation results show that the use of ADR can significantly reduce the labor intensity of workers.
