우리나라 학교 선거교육의 시기별 내용 비교 - 고등학교 교과서 분석을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study is to understand the changes in election education from The Course of Study to The 2015 national curriculum. For this purpose, high school politics textbooks were selected for each curriculum period. The analysis results are as follows. In The Course of Study, the principles of election, Electoral District system, and the right to vote and the right to be elected are described in detail. These characteristics led to The 1st national curriculum, but the content began to be reduced during The 2nd national curriculum. And in The 3rd national curriculum period, the content was greatly reduced. The 4th and 5th national Curriculum, which have inherited such a trend, can be seen as ‘the dark ages’ of election education. Then, during The 6th national curriculum period, civic participation in politics was emphasized as an educational goal, and the weight of election education was restored accordingly. In addition, the election education in The 7th national curriculum period is markedly improved both quantitatively and qualitatively. Since then, from the time of The 2007/2009 national curriculum to the present, learner-centered and participation-centered election education has continued, but there is still a limit that can not escape from the concept-oriented narrative trend.
