With the enactment of the Conflict of Interest Act, it was possible to secure more realistic effectiveness in preventing corruption by enacting the conflict of interest section, which was missing from the legislation at the time of enactment of the Anti-Graft Act. The problem is that the anti-corruption behavior of public officials should be prevented through amendments to various problems that appear after implementation and the anti-corruption behavior of public officials should be blocked in advance by strengthening the internal system. In other words, in the event of a conflict of interest between public officials, etc., it is necessary to prevent public officials from pursuing their private interests using official secrets through prior reporting, evasion of duties, and strong punishment. It is important for interested parties to report conflicts of interest themselves, but I believe that it is necessary to strengthen compensation for whistleblowers. In the case of violations, internal monitoring should be conducted well, since the insider can know better. In addition, continuous external audits should be strengthened along with education to raise public officials' integrity and ethical awareness.
