The Influence of Self-Control, Social Responsibility, and Transformational Leadership on Career Preparation Behavior of Nursing Student

연구 목적: 본 연구는 간호대학생의 자기통제력, 사회적 책임성, 변혁적 리더십, 진로 준비 행동 정도를 파악하고, 진로 준비 행동에 미치는 영향요인을 확인함으로써 진로 준비 행동을 향상시켜주는 전략마련의 기초 자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 연구 방법: 본 연구 대상은 간호대학생 215명이었으며, 자료 수집 기간은 2020년 6월 1일부터 6월 19일까지이었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN program 20.0을 이용하여 independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Scheffė test, Pearson correlation coefficients, Stepwise multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과: 대상자의 진로 준비 행동에 영향을 미친 요인은 학년, 사회적 책임성, 변혁적 리더십, 지원 동기로 확인되었다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 간호대학생의 진로 준비 행동을 향상시키기 위해서는 입학 때부터 간호사를 평생 전문직으로 인식하고, 자신의 적성과 부합하는 진로목표를 설정하여 체계적인 진로 준비 행동 교육이 선행되어야 함을 제시하고 있다. 진로 준비 행동 교육프로그램 내용으로는 진로목표와 관련된 정보 찾기, 학년별 진로로드맵 구성, 교과 및 비교과 활동을 통한 사회적 책임성의 향상, 사회와 조직에서의 필수역량인 변혁적 리더십 향상, 그리고 진로지원을 도울 수 있는 병원이나 지역사회의 간호 관련 진로 멘토와의 네트워크 확립을 통한 진로상담 등을 포함시킬 것을 강조하고 있다. 그리고 간호대학생의 사회적 책임성을 함양하기 위해서 교과과정에서는 임상실습현장을 통해 돌봄에 대한 사회적 핵심가치를 함양하고, 비교과활동으로는 노숙인 쉼터 보건활동과 급식봉사, 저소득층 아동센터와 미혼모 돌봄 봉사활동 등을 실습현장과 연계시킨다면 바람직한 인간관계 형성, 의사결정능력 함양, 그리고 리더십 형성 등을 통해 사회적 책임성을 높일 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between self-control, social responsibility, transformational leadership, and career preparation behavior, and to identify factors influencing career preparation behavior. Methods: The participants were 215 nursing students in one university located in J-city. Data collection was conducted between June 1st and June 19th, 2020, and was analyzed using independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 20.0. Results: The career preparation behavior showed a significant positive correlation with social responsibility (r=.44, p<.001), and transformational leadership (r=.44, p<.001). The significant predictors of career preparation behavior were academic year (β=.36, p<.001), social responsibility (β=.28, p=.002), transformational leadership (β=.25, p=.004), and reason for application (β=.14, p=.015). These factors explained 36.0% of the career preparation be havior in the regression model (F=19.87, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings indicate that grade, social responsibility, transformational leadership, and reason for application impact career behavior preparation. It is necessary to provide systematic career preparation behavior programs considering academic year, social responsibility, transformational leadership, and reason for application of nursing students.
