In pursuit of continual growth of the Korean SMEs, it is necessary to resolve the unfair trade practice between the large corporations and SMEs as well as to accelerate the creative capabilities of SMEs. Through establishing the fair trade system and culture in the market, the innovative achievement of SMEs should be fairly compensated and encouraged. The policy to protect the proprietory technology of SMEs should be executed more effectively and the penalty for the illegal technology acquisition should be reinforced. To reduce the failure rate of micro businesses, it is necessary to restrain the excessive entry into the overcrowded region through providing the information of survival rate and business consulting. The start-ups with innovative technology and business model should be increased through facilitating the equity-based funding, expediting the liquidation through M&A, and providing the incentives for successful entrepreneurs to reinvest the money earned from the divestment. It is also necessary to support the market entry of innovative products and the creation of born global start-ups. To help the successful restart of entrepreneurs who experienced business failures, the personal loss resulted from failure should be minimized and a variety of financial and legal sanctions should be alleviated. Through promoting the technological innovation and overseas marketing, the number of globally competitive SMEs should be increased.
