A Study on the Employment Type of Non-regular Workers

Sincethe1980s,neoliberalideas havestrengthenedtheir globalcompetitivenessinline withthe global trend of the1990s. Especially. The IMF in 1997 brought major changes inKorean society and the labor market. The type of employment of non-regular workers has emerged as a result of rapid changes in the economic environment, such as globalization and development of industrialtechnologiessimilartoinformationandcommunication. This study attempted to achieve the following research objectives for the employment type of non-regular workers. First, I would like to examine the concepts previously discussed for non-regular workers.Second,I wouldliketoexaminethecharacteristicsofnon-regular workers. Third, I would like to examine the employment types of non-regular workers. Fourth, I would liketopresenttheresearchresultsandimplicationsforthepurposeofthisstudy. The results of this study are as follows. First, the reason for the increase in the number of non-regularworkersisduetotherapidchangeintheeconomicenvironment,theactiveresponse ofcompaniestocopewithit,andtheincreaseintheserviceindustry.Inaddition,itcanbesaid that the reason for this is that the company's flexible strategy and the international movement of labor have become easier. Second, problems were pointed out for non-regular workers with relativelypooreremploymentconditionsandwelfarebenefitsthanregularworkers.Accordingly,it is necessary to quickly correct and supplement the problems that are currentlyemerging so that non-regular workers canincreasetheir commitment to theorganization.Third, when non-regular workers are immersed in the organization for various reasons, the importance of strategic selection and management is required by classifying the types of organizational commitment based on clear reasons. Fourth, job anxiety of regular workers is a phenomenon expressed by recognizing that the psychological contract with the organization to which each member of the organization belongs has been destroyed. As a result, it can be said that the members of the organization receive mental pain and intention to turn over more severely than non-regular workers,soitisnecessarytosupplementthem.
