A Study on the Influence of Social Capital of Venture Businesses on Business Performance: Focusing on Seoul and Gyeonggi area

Today, countries around the world are advancing the industrial structure by fostering venture companies. In this process, efforts are being made to achieve the effect of improving the balance of payments by creating jobs and increasing exports and revitalizing the national economy. This study analyzed the effect of social capital of venture companies on corporate performance with the aim of raisingawarenessofthenecessityofutilizingsocialcapitalofventurecompanies. Specifically, this study first examined the concept and characteristics of venture companies and social capital based on previous studies. Second, the components of social capital, such as innovation performance, startup performance, and export performance were examined. Third, after hypothesis establishment andempirical analysis, the implications and limitations according to the researchresults werepresented. According to the research results, the following implications were expressed. First, in this study, it was found that social capital had a positive effect on corporate performance. Second, venture companies can build an excellent business environment by building a trust relationship between companies through the establishment of a relationship network and mutually cooperative activities. Fourth, venture companies must do their best to secure their own competitiveness by accumulating technologythroughcontinuoustechnologydevelopment.
