코로나-19 감염병에 대응한 기술 융합 사회혁신 디자인 유형 및 디자인의 역할 연구 - 디자인 사고의 활용 및 참여 디자인 방식을 중심으로

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, our daily lives have changed significantly in all areas of economy, society, and culture. Accordingly, in the face of changes in design, the importance of social participation and social innovation design are emerging, focusing on the process, not the result of design. The purpose of this paper is to analyze cases in response to COVID-19 infectious diseases using design for social innovation and suggest the roles and capabilities that designers should have in the event of future social problems. Therefore, this paper conducted the study as follows. First, we investigate theories of design for social innovation, design thinking, and participatory design. Second, the framework of case analysis is derived by synthesizing the results of literature review. After that, after selecting a case of social innovation design that responds to COVID-19 infectious diseases, the selected cases are analyzed using the designed analysis framework. Third, through case analysis, it was found that designers should play a role in providing convergent facilitators, assistants, system construction, and motivation for participation, and lead users to actively recognize social issues and participate in the design process. In conclusion, in order to solve the current diversified social problems, designers should cultivate the ability to promote communication with users and stakeholders based on their skills and humanities skills. In addition to COVID-19 infectious diseases, this study is expected to be helpful in finding ways to utilize design in responding to various social problems.
