This study analyzed the actual case in the Korean game industry, which achieved prominent growth with technology development. It focuses on IP management issues and strategies of Kakao Games, which has behemoth parent's company Kakao. This study presents the importance of well-designed M&A deals for effective Intellectual property (IP) management. We present that deal with a high risk of M&A and to maximize Kakao Games' strengths as a publisher for its IP management; it needs to be devoted IP due diligence.
Abstract
