환경불확실성과 역경지수가 기술창업기업의 혁신성과에 미치는 영향: 연구개발역량의 매개역할

This study examined the effects of environmental uncertainty and adversity quotient on innovation performance and the mediating role of R&D capabilities in the relationship between these variables. To this end, this study established 7 hypotheses. The research data were collected from 288 executives and employees working for technology start-up companies. The summary of the research results is as follows: First, environmental uncertainty was positively related to R&D capabilities. Second, adversity quotient was positively related to R&D capabilities. Third, environmental uncertainty and adversity quotient were positively related to innovation performance, respectively. Fourth, R&D capabilities partially mediated the relationship between environmental uncertainty and innovation performance, and fully mediated the relationship between adversity quotient and innovation performance. The theoretical and practical implications presented by the results of this study are as follows. First, this study makes a theoretical contribution in that it suggested as a research result that R&D capabilities are important as a mechanism that connects the relationship between environmental uncertainty and innovation performance and between adversity quotient and innovation performance. Second, the results of this study suggest practical implications that companies should increase the organization's R&D capabilities to strengthen competitiveness under uncertainty in the business environment. Finally, the results of this study suggest practical implications that companies should seek ways to improve the adversity quotient of members of the organization.
