국가산업단지 고용 창출과 동남권 운송장비 업종 분석을 통한 산업 발전 방안 연구

This study aims to present the direction of industrial development in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do, the southeastern region, through analysis of the impact of economic factors on job creation and major industries. In addition, research was conducted to help balanced industrial, economic, and national development by creating a global mega city differentiated from the metropolitan area through fostering industries suitable for the characteristics of the southeastern region. As a research method, statistical data from the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation for 38 national industrial complexes analyzed the data of the 16-year time series panel arrangement for the total 35 complexes, excluding the three complexes with insufficient data aggregation. The status of all case study complexes and the status of machinery, electrical and electronic, and transportation equipment, which are major industries of the entire case study complex, were analyzed, and the status of the Southeast region for the transportation equipment industry. The analysis method was analyzed with a fixed effect model and a probability effect model through basic statistics analysis and Hausman test. For 35 national industrial complexes, all three variables (company, production, export) of the panel analysis results showed significant results. In particular, the number of companies showed a positive (+) coefficient, and the coefficient value was the largest at 0.54, which is analyzed that 0.54 units of new jobs were created when new start-ups increased by one unit. As a result of panel analysis of representative machinery, electrical and electronic, and transportation equipment industries, the transportation equipment industry in the southeastern region showed significant results. As a result of the analysis of the southeastern region where the transportation equipment industry was concentrated, the number of companies and production were very significant at the 1% level, indicating that the transportation equipment industry had a significant impact on job creation in the southeastern region. Taken together, it is analyzed that the national industrial complex still has an effect on job creation, and in particular, it has a great influence on regions with high degree of integration and specialization of local industries. As an implication, the transportation equipment industry in the southeastern region is very meaningful in terms of fostering major industries, so it can be seen that there is a need to foster front-rear related industries nationally in terms of value chain of related industries. Finally, based on the results of this study, directions for future industrial development in the southeastern region were presented.
