내륙 항구와 운하건설에 영향을 주는 요인에 대한 탐색적 연구

We attempted to confirm the factors that affect the behavioral attitude for the construction of the inland port and canal. We collected and analyzed questionnaires from metropolitan area in Korea. It is found that residence satisfaction level influenced positively the level of desire for the construction of the inland port and canal. The subjective level of happiness, the subjective level of health, the subjective level of personal economy and the level of education affected some parts of attitude for the construction of the inland port and canal. The sex and locus of control, however, did not influence any attitude for the construction of the inland port and canal. The ports and canals influence the nation’s economy and level of people’s health and quality of life. The past political controversy over the construction of Seoul-Pusan canal divided national opinion badly. It’s time to con- sider the construction of small scale ports and canals because the benefits of the small inland ports and canals are very much. This is an exploratory study for the follow-up research. Unfortunately the weakness of this study is that we could not carry out in-dept study due to systematic distortion of questionnaire. The successive study needs more elaborate questionnaire development to solve this problems.
