토픽 모델링－DEA/Malmquist index를 활용한 스마트 그리드 산업의 운영효율성 분석

[Purpose] The goal of this study is to classify the smart grid industry, which has grown led by the government over the past decade, based on core technology characteristics, and then analyze the changes in the operating efficiency of the companies for each technology group to draw policy implications. [Methodology] This study first conducted a topic analysis based on 612 smart gridrelated patent data registered in Korea from 2009 to 2021 to classify technology characteristics. Then, this study analyzed changes in operational efficiency of the companies for each technology group by using DEA/Malmquist index. [Findings] This study finds that the change in operational efficiency of each topic group had a similar pattern to the change in operational efficiency of the whole industry. This study also shows that the efficiency change due to internal factors moved upward over time, whereas the change in efficiency caused by external factors fell downward. [Policy Implications] The smart grid industry needs a consumer－oriented support policy so that the relevant market can actually be activated by breaking away from supplieroriented support policies such as R&D support, finance, and tax benefits.
