This study confirmed that the mediating effect of empowering on innovation behavior was highly recognized by the Korean group through empirical analysis. In addition, in the case of the Korean group, the mediating effect of empowering on idea development and idea promotion was confirmed. On the other hand, in the case of the foreign group, it was confirmed that the mediating effect exists only in the development of ID. In summary, the necessity of job redesign to promote idea practice is emphasized for Koreans, and the necessity of introducing job redesign along with rewards and promotions that can stimulate idea promotion and execution for foreigners. In a situation where there is an urgent need to improve on-site productivity and innovate by job unit, empowering foreign workers should now be evaluated as a key management task for on-site productivity and innovation performance.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the mediating effect of empowering leadership on the relationship between leaders and members and innovation behavior in Korean SMEs. This is because, in the global competitive market, despite the fact that the multicultural phenomenon of human resources has become common even at the level of small and medium-sized enterprises, the managerial leadership and approach of the members are not differentiated and only a general analysis. Previous studies have reported that the relationship between leader and members, that is, LMX, affects members' intrinsic motivation and has an important influence on member performance and innovative behavior. However, the reality is that there is a lack of research on how differentiated sampling based on the characteristics of already multicultural human resources and sub-concepts of empowering related thereto are differentiated between Korean and foreign members and are related to performance and innovation behavior. .
