성과 피드백, 환경 불확실성과 기술이전 간의 관계에 관한 연구: 수요 기업 관점을 중심으로

Most studies on the market for technology tend to focus on providers, which does not provide in-depth understanding of buyers. Based on a behavioral theory of the firm, this study suggests motivation for firms to acquire external technologies. According to this theory, decision makers use performance feedback for decision-making, which is often made under uncertainties. We argue that the level of risk tolerance accompanying the transfer of external technologies changes based on social performance feedback, being related to their acquisition and interacted with environmental uncertainty. Utilizing the Korean Innovation Survey 2016, logistic regression analysis showed three findings. First, when sales is lower than social aspiration level, social performance feedback has a negative relationship with the transfer of external technologies. Second, we found a positive relationship between social performance feedback and the transfer of external technologies when sales is higher than social aspiration level. Third, when environmental uncertainty perceived by firms is high, the relationships between social performance feedback and the transfer of external technologies are strengthened.
