사회기술전환이론을 이용한 한국의 수소경제 이행과정 분석: 전략적 니치 관리(SNM) 이론을 이용한 수소경제 니치 보호공간 형성 과정 분석

A big shift across over our socio-economic and technological systems that utilizing ‘hydrogen’ as an main energy and manufacturing source replacing fossil fuels is taking place. In Socio-technical transition theory, the transition process of socio-technical system may be described as 1) when the exogenous aspect of technology, called 'landscape', increases wider level of social pressure on the need for transition, 2) investment and efforts are made in the innovation and R&D activities to 'niche', which provides technological possibilities and alternatives to open up transition process, and 3) this niche is slowly expanded to challenge a existing 'regime', leading dominant path of further innovation and market standard. The strategic niche perspective (SNM) emphasizes the importance of the role of the government in fostering technology at the niche stage, where market and industrial formation are weak. This study attempted to analyze the development and evolution process of hydrogen technology of Korea, the central axis of national R&D with SNM, to examine the characteristics of the state-led niche development process and provide policy implications.
