A Study on Job Insecurity of Members of Merged Company in the Process of Airline Merger and Acquisition: With the Moderating Effect of Social Support

초록

This report is written for the study of job insecurity of airline members of merged company during the merger and acquisition. The model for the study is the schematized model related to the effect of social support in the middle of turn over intention to the job insecurity emerged from the merger and acquisition. This study is based on the survey of 200 flight attendants who worked for Korean Air from 2002 March 1st to 15th. This survey is used for the study result. The hypotheses established in this study are as follows. First, merger and acquisition will affect job insecurity. Second, job insecurity of flight attendants will affect turn over intention. Third, social support will take charge of controlling role in the relationship between job insecurity and turn over intention. As a result of verifying the hypothesis, only the hypothesis that job insecurity affects turn over intention was true, but the others showed that job insecurity research on acquisition company members and acquired company members should be conducted separately.

Abstract
