노인고독사에 대한 지방자치단체 역할에 관한 법적 검토

The aging of the population is progressing rapidly due to the decrease in the birth population. Our society has been trying to curb population growth due to the increase in the birth population, but recently, we are facing a serious crisis of aging due to a cliff of rapid population decline. The aging of the population is causing serious problems in various fields such as society, economy, and culture. The elderly were respected and respected as adults in our society, but in modern society, they are considered to be dependents due to the loss of economic ability, and social costs are required to increase. These social costs should be borne by the state or local governments, but individuals are borne by the financial situation. Industrialization and urbanization have led to an increase in the number of elderly households, from extended families to nuclear families. In particular, the proportion of the elderly living with their own households is gradually increasing, and the number of elderly single-person households is also increasing rapidly. In the case of elderly couple households, economic hardship is relatively less than that of the elderly living alone, but the problems the elderly have are economic hardship and social isolation, that is, loneliness. As the number of elderly living alone increases, loneliness and loneliness among the elderly increase. In order to reduce the death of the elderly by loneliness, the state and local governments are preparing support measures through laws, and each local government has prepared and implemented various support measures. However, there is no practical support plan for the lonely death of the elderly, so there is no plan to actively prevent the lonely death of the elderly. Therefore, in this study, the role of local governments to prevent the death of lonely elderly people was reviewed based on the contents of the law and suggested improvement measures.
