한-베트남 FTA 수산부문 국내보완대책에 관한 연구- 친환경 양식어업 육성사업 지원 사례를 중심으로 -

The government prepared domestic supportive measures in the fisheries sector in anticipation that the fishery industry would suffer damage from the market opening following the conclusion of the FTA with Viet Nam. South Korea’s accession to the CPTPP, recently accounted for by the government, will open markets with member countries, including Viet Nam, which is expected to affect the decrease in domestic fishery production. The South Korean government pledged to develop supportive measures to compensate the affected fisheries sector. It is necessary to review the effectiveness of existing government support measures for FTAs that have previously been ratified. This study examines the case of the eco-friendly aquaculture program, which is one of the FTA support measures with Viet Nam, targeting the beneficiary farmers. The study results show that the program can stabilize domestic shrimp supply and sustainably transform domestic shrimp aquaculture in the long term.
