국립대학의 사회적 통합 및 장애인식 개선 관련 교양과목의 개설을 위한 법률적 근거에 관한 연구

In Korea, various policies have been attempted to improve the social integration of the disabled and the awareness of the disabled. However, the results of these policies have not been successful as those were expected. The fact that people with disabilities are still demanding social integration and improvement of awareness of the disabled is evidence of that. Therefore, the claim that education is the only way to improve discriminatory perceptions about people with disabilities is constantly being raised, but the methodology of education was the another problem beyond the failure of the polices. It is presented as a result there is a responsibility of national universities on the education about social integration and awareness of persons with disabilities were legally based on the Article 11(1), Article 34(5) of the Constitution, Article 8 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, Article 17-3 of the Education Basic Act, and Article 11-2 of the Higher Education Act. It was also proposed that the opening of liberal arts subjects was suggested as the methods. At the end of this study, it was suggested that there is an obligation of education for improvement and as a solution the opening of liberal arts subjects was suggested as several methods. However it was found that there are some legal issues that need to be solved from a policy point of view, and some discussions were proposed. It is expected that this study will contribute to the social integration of the disabled and the improvement of the perception of the disabled in some small way.
